These are three versions of the UIML specification:

UIML 3.1:

This is the latest draft specification, released in March of 2004. This is a modest refinement of the UIML 2.0 specification.

We invite public comment on this specification. Please see the UIML 3.1 specification draft for details on how to contribute.

UIML 3.0:

This draft specification was released on 12 February 2002. This is a modest refinement of the UIML 2.0 specification.

UIML 2.0:

The draft specification was released on 17 January 2000. It was a major redesign of the UIML language, compared to UIML 1.0.

UIML 1.0:

This specification  was released in December 1997.  A Java rendering engine* is available for application developers.   The engine is available in two forms:  (1) a self-extracting installation file with a pre-compiled executable and (2) source code.

Please send comments to uiml-editor@uiml.org .
